Ok. So, now that I have finally gotten into my blog after lots of time fighting with it, I will be able to share some Christmas cheer. Or, something of that sort.

I was reading an article on MSN.com about misheard Christmas carol lyrics. I was wondering what songs had been misheard for so many years. The article linked to Snopes.com. I looked and was highly entertained at what I found.

This is the website. You should check this out. It is entertaining!

With that said, Deck the Halls with Buddy Holly! Bells on Bob's tail ring, Making spareribs bright: What fun it is to write and sing a slaying song to knives! And don't forget the chipmunks roasting on an open fire!

Merry Christmas!

Stars Wars

My son is a big Star Wars fan. I ran across this story and thought it was entertaining. Therefore, I am sharing with you! It is crazy how much people will pay for things!

This story is from the Associated Press

LOS ANGELES - Luke Skywalker's light saber has been on Star Wars fans' Christmas lists for more than 30 years.

On Thursday, one fan spent $240,000 to get the real thing: the prop that Mark Hamill used in the first two movies in the original "Star Wars" trilogy.

The light saber highlighted several Hollywood memorabilia sold at an auction in Los Angeles by Profiles in History. The auction house said it sold about $3.5 million in memorabilia.

The droid helmet worn by Anthony Daniels to play C-3PO sold for $120,000, and the costume Marlon Brando wore in the "Superman" movie went for $72,000.

Another Black Friday

Well, I hope that you all had a stuffed Thanksgiving. I know that I did. We went to the husband's families for dinner. Like every year, I ate too much and grew extremely tired. It was really good. It was a little weird though too. I am used to having a giant pot of green chili with all holiday meals. There was none, and I forgot to make it. That kinda threw the taste of the meal off a little, but it was still really good.

Another black Friday is upon us now. Again, I didn't get any shopping done. I guess that happens when you have to work. I guess I will try again next year.

Happy Holidays to all!

Lia Sophia Jewelry

So, I started my own business of sorts. I have become a fashion advisor for Lia Sophia jewelry. I am so excited. This has been so much fun. I don't really start until Tuesday, but I have been super busy making new friends and meeting new people. It is really exciting. I am so looking forward to this taking off.

If you haven't heard about Lia Sophia, you can check out all of the product online at www.liasophia.com. It is so awesome. It is a home party business, so I am meeting so many people. The parties are so much fun! I can't wait for this thing to come into full swing! I'll keep you all posted on how it goes! YEAH!

Technological Advances

This weekend, I found myself fascinated at the technological advances that have been made just within my lifetime. I remember growing up and playing Oregon Trail on the green screen computers at school. I don't even know if they make that game anymore. Now, you have all of these lifelike graphics for almost all games.

Atari was the first video game console that we had at home. Now, my son, who is only five, walks around the house playing his handheld Nintendo DS. There is no longer the need to be at home to play meaningless video games. It seems that playing outside with trucks or in the dirt is a thing of the past.

I found myself wondering how people ever kept up with their favorite shows without the help of DVR or TiVo. I record three shows every Monday night while watching Monday Night Football. (I loved that the Broncos got walked on last night. LOL!) I catch up on WWE Raw, My Own Worst Enemy, and Locked Up Abroard after the game and throughout the week. I can't imagine missing a single moment of any of them by flipping back and forth during commercials.

Everyone walks around with cell phones in their pockets/purses. I don't think I can even remember the last time I had a home line. There is no need for that anymore. Just call the cell phone and you can reach anyone at anytime anywhere. It just amazes me.

I'm making myself feel really old. To think, I'm only 27. LOL!

Here goes

I watched the premier of the new series "My Own Worst Enemy" last night. I have to say that it floored me. Most television series premiers are really slow, but this was very different. I was hooked in the first ten minutes. My only complaint about it is that I have to wait until next week to see what happens next. I highly suggest that everyone watches it at least once.
