- Hi, I'm Rene from Cat Country 95-1 in Colorado Springs. I was born in Ft. Hood, Texas and raised in Monte Vista, CO. My teachers all through school kept telling my mom that I talked too much. (They always knew I would get into a career where I could talk for a living.) I went to college at Adams State and worked at the college radio station. I finally graduated after five and a half years with a degree in English Communications and a minor in Theatre. (I don't know what good it is either.) I moved to Colorado Springs in January of 2006 with my son. I met my husband in March of 2006 and married him just over a year later in April of 2007. I love working for radio. I get to listen to music all day and get paid for it. I also play a lot of Texas Hold Em. I have discovered that it can be a great stress reliever. When not at work or on a poker table, I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends watching movies and playing games. Listen to me every weekend.
